I write with the human color that makes you and your brand memorable, unique, and alive.
I’ve been writing brand copy, UX content, and SEO-friendly words for over 20 years. I’ve managed hundreds of projects, but I always assigned the writing to myself. Not out of control, but out of love. It’s the part I’m best at and the part I enjoy most. I utilize psychology to write with clarity, empathy, and intention that guides how people feel and act. Today, I focus on copywriting that converts and UX writing that helps people without getting in their way.
Where I flex my creative muscles and explore writing, voice, and ideas
I write for work and I write for fun. My Playground is where I show range, curiosity, and how I think on the page. You’ll find publishable articles, voice challenges where I rewrite the same idea in entirely different tones, and the occasional deep dive into culture, language, or song lyrics. It’s not client work. It’s proof of how I approach writing, storytelling, and brand thinking when no one is telling me what to do.
Current focus: AEO (Answer Engine Optimization).
I intentionally stay in learning mode as the industry evolves, expanding my skills so my writing and strategy stay relevant, effective, and human-first. This ongoing coursework builds on my existing experience in SEO, UX, and AI-assisted research, keeping me sharp as search and discovery continue to change.
I Learned AI in Self Defense
Why would a writer of all people learn AI? I hate AI. It stole my job. So instead of fighting it like it keyed my car, I adapted. I took courses and accepted a three-month, 960-hour AI assignment. I learned, tested, and built until I understood where AI is powerful, where it’s dangerous, and where it absolutely does not belong. I now operate at a professional level in prompt engineering, with practical, hands-on experience supporting SEO and AEO strategy, research, and evaluation. Do I write with AI? No. Do I use it to power-up my lightsaber? You betcha. Now I work faster and more efficiently, but never losing the human touch. So, bring it, AI. Game on. Unicorn saddled. Lightsaber humming.
Alongside client work, I actively submit original writing for publication or as blog posts to show range, and for AEO purposes. In fact, my most recent pieces are about AEO. However, if you could only read one piece, I'd steer you to any of the trio that explore the psychology of how technology has impacted humans and how we think, the creative field and caused an un-crossable chasm between certain generations. My next submission examines cross-sensory language processing layered with pattern-based cognition, often referred to as synesthesia. I think it is a fascinating comparison of how humans literally feel words in a world where so much is written by robots.
I am currently on an exciting 4-month long writing assignment. If the client does not extend the project, I will be ready for more in early June. I’m open to full-time or freelance roles where strong writing, clear thinking, and adaptability matter. I am a Senior Marketing Writer, a Yoda-level AI Master, and a brand marketing expert. Yeah, I'm a unicorn, by intention.
