I was recently asks to complete a “why me” assignment for a position I was applying for. I don’t know if I’ll get that job, but I do know I loved what I wrote enough to add it to the top of my About Me page. Please feel free to read the “why me” version that is sans-marketing lingo and pro-I’m wired to write. View the pretty cool, stripped down, acoustic version of who I am.
I start each day with a “How many mountains can I move?” mindset. A creative problem-solver, I know the power of adaptation. I’m an Award-Winning Project Manager, Copywriter and UX Writer, so I tend to see both the big picture and the smaller details that ensure a project’s success. By day’s end, if my task list is full of crossed-off accomplishments, I consider it a win. I’m also a learning junkie. If I don’t know how to do something, I’ll spend two days completely fixated on learning it.
I have a growing list of certifications to show for it. Check ’em out. I have recently immersed myself in AI education, partly in revenge for it taking my job. I’ve since leveled up to Professional-status with AI Prompt Engineering and now understand and can implement the fundamentals that aid with AEO. I even took a 3 month long, 960 hour, assignment as an AI Generalist, simply to get hands-on experience. Please learn more about my intense immersion into the very field I love the least.
My leadership style is driven by inspiration; no egos or power trips with me. Empathy is my superpower, and while I’m a natural people person, I navigate tough management challenges with ease. In the workplace, I’m professional yet approachable. To me, maintaining a high morale is a must.
I’m also a 100% certified, full-blooded overachiever. Simply put, I am a visionary leader who aims for the sky, yet I am easy to work with and actually like when the lanes between roles are blurry and teammates help each other out. Visit My Referrals page for client and peer feedback.

My favorite things to do for fun are to go fishing and hang out with my two sons. I love baseball and am a huge Astros fan (#beAltuve), but I also love Shohei Ohtani. It can’t be helped. The man is a unicorn. He’s not worth his gazillion dollar contract though. Just sayin’.
I like making bets with my boys. I always manage to lose. Oh, and I have a major t-shirt addiction. And hats. I’m always wearing one. Hats go great with heels.
I also love Star Wars and am emphatic that there were only 6 movies that count, and you watch them in this order: 4, 5, 6, 1, 2 and 3. My favorite character is Darth Vader. Luke wasn’t the chosen one (whiny little turd). Anakin was. He brought balance to the force. Twice. Oh, and I think the Jedi were tyrants (Flexible they were not. Dictators they were. Yes.) Read my whacko theory.
I am fluent in both song lyrics and quotes from ’80s, ’90s and ’00s movies. I don’t think I could go a full day without quoting someone or something.
